Tesla and Bowling Pin CNC Design

I program a mill to cut the Tesla logo into solid aluminum using G-Code. The preprogrammed bowling pin was created using a lathe.

Designing using G-Code

In the G-Code simulator, I plot out the specific points needed to make the logo look accurate. I derived these points using the general circle equation with the radius of the curves.

Final Product

After inputting the code into the mill, it cut into the aluminum sheet with a depth of 0.1 inches.

Bowling Pin

This bowling pin was cut by a CNC lathe. The code was inputted first and took three minutes to complete.
